However, the cold rendered her hands uncooperative, and the door remained shut despite her attempts.
Orion, in a worse state, lay silent, unable to voice his plight.
Flossie’s desperation grew, yet her strength dwindled.
Suddenly, a knock on the window pierced the silence. “Anyone inside?”
Flossie responded hastily.
Moments later, the door swung open, revealing the vast, snowy expanse beyond. Visibility was poor, nothing discernible in the blinding white.
As Flossie squinted against the brightness, she felt the click of her seatbelt being released, followed by the warmth of a strong embrace.
Though the man’s scent was familiar, Flossie was certain he was not Benny.
Straining her eyes, Flossie attempted to discern the man’s features.
As her gaze climbed, it settled on his face-it was Edmund.
Shock had no place in that moment. Grasping Edmund’s hand, she urged, “Someone else is still in the car. Please, help him…”
With those words, darkness claimed her.
Edmund’s expression turned grave. He swiftly directed others to assist Orion and lifted Flossie into the helicopter himself.
Once inside, he placed her on a bed, tucking her in with a quilt.
Crouching beside the bed, he gently rearranged her hair and watched over her in silence.

Holding her chilled hand, Edmund said tenderly, “Baby, finding you took too long. Please be alright. When you awaken, I’ll grant any wish you have.”

Meanwhile, the rescue team went to the resort. One of them told Matthew, “Your friend has been safely transported to the hospital.”
This news allowed Stella to exhale in relief.
Earlier, Matthew had attempted to search for Flossie, but the snow impeded their progress, forcing them back to the villa.
Learning of Flossie’s safety brought a wave of relief over Stella and the others.
Organized by the rescue team, they boarded the helicopters in turn.
The mood onboard was tense. Stella sat in silence, her hands clenched together.
Unable to bear the somber atmosphere, Miley intervened, clapping her hands. “Thankfully, we’re all safe. Surviving such an ordeal surely means good fortune awaits. Let’s embrace life positively from here on out. No more gloom.”
Stella offered a weak smile in response. Turning to the rescue team, she inquired, “Who alerted you?”
